Smart Factory is a web portal that promotes a digital transformation concept, describes the application of different combinations of advanced technologies emphasizing the capabilities such as “self-awareness”, “self-predicting”, “self-maintaining” and “self-learning” in order to develop smart manufacturing systems. Smart Factory is empowered by Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 technologies.

One of the first steps towards establishing a model to support Smart Factory is to create a network of experts with knowledge and experience in the processes related to digital transformation of the manufacturing systems. The experts’ knowledge, experience and contacts will be available to companies that will be interested in digital transformation of its manufacturing processes.

The provision of digital transformation services is powered by team of professors, assistants and researchers at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad , and researchers from the Institute for Artificial Intelligence with experiences in Smart Factory concept implementation. 

The main goal of Smart Factory team is to provide workshops, implementation and consulting services to European manufacturing companies in order to promote lifelong learning of engineer and workers and develop smart manufacturing systems.
