2Jun Faculty of Technical Sciences and Mitsubishi Electric Signed the Agreement on Long-Term Business and Technical Cooperation by Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Rikalovic Implementation The Faculty of Technical Sciences from Novi Sad, Serbia, and Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., German Branch signed the Agreement on long-term business and technical cooperation. The agreement signed between Faculty and this prominent company defines a joint cooperation in the development of smart factories in the field of Industry 4.0. Mitsubishi Electric has recognized Faculty as a strategic partner in Europe for the development and implementation of the e-F@ctroy concept and Edge Computing solutions based on artificial intelligence. “Based on this partnership, European companies will receive the necessary support for projects to develop smart solutions for process optimization, quality control and predictive production maintenance.” – states prof. Dr. Aleksandar Rikalovic from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. As a result of the cooperation so far, Mitsubishi Electric has donated laboratory equipment in the form of ten didactic sets to Faculty students, and each set has a PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DC and AC motor, position sensors and Human-Machine Interface (HMI). In addition, the WSCAD software package for the design of electrical, electropneumatic and electrohydraulic schemes is included.
